The Town of Clarksville will hold a public hearing on January 30, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at 321 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA to solicit public input on the proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for Phase II of the Southwest Downtown Community Improvement Project. Residents of the project area are encouraged to attend. The Southwest Downtown Community Improvement Project proposal will include the following activities housing rehabilitation, storm drainage improvements, sidewalks, and sewer improvements.
The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low- and moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project, and plans to minimize displacement. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on Town of Clarksville past use of CDBG funds.
