Notice of Public Hearing-Sewer Usage Rates

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING PROPOSED TOWN OF CLARKSVILLE, VIRGINIA ORDINANCE TO INCREASE SEWER USAGE RATES The Town Council (the “Council”) of the Town of Clarksville, Virginia (the “Town”) will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Council Meeting Room, 321 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, Virginia, to consider adoption of an ordinance to increase sewer usage rates charged by the Town. The proposed Ordinance is summarized as follows: The minimum sewer base fees and the additional sewer use fees are proposed to increase or remain the same as of November 1, 2017 as set forth below: BASE FEES – in Town user (bi-monthly, minimum of 10,000 gallons charged)

Sections 15.2-2119 and 15.2-2122 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, grant the legal authority to the Town to enact fees and charges for sewer services. Persons may appear and present their views at the public hearing.  A copy of the full text of the ordinance and information concerning documentation for the proposed fee increases are on file and available for public inspection in the office of the Town Manager located at 321 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, Virginia 23927.  Questions about the public hearing should be directed to the office of the Town Manager.
