Re: As Adjoining or adjacent property owners to 103 Third Street, Clarksville, VA., you are herby notified of the following:

The Town of Clarksville Board of Zoning Appeals will meet Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at 6 pm at the Town Council Chambers, located at 325 Virginia Avenue. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a Zoning Variance request for Laura Pittard, Map # 147a7-30-3.The owner is requesting a variance to allow for construction to renovate and expand the existing home in the front, rear, and side of the property. The request would allow for the rear addition and side addition to extend pass the setback requirements on the land adjoining the Army Corp of Engineers property line.

A copy of the application is available for review at the Clarksville Town Hall. Any person wishing to comment may do so at the Public Hearing. Big Buggs Island Blues Bash- September 30th.

Come on out Saturday, September 30th.for the 3rd annual Big Buggs Island Blue Bash for a day of live blues, food, and a swing dance competition on the lake! The event will be held at the Robbins Ballpark at 104 Woodland Drive, Clarksville, VA from 2-10 p.m.  This is a rain or shine event. Fall Lamppost Decoration Contest

Show off your creative talents and win prizes in the process. Decorate a LAMPPOST in a Fall or “Movie” Monster Mash Theme on the Avenue. Entry is free but you must register with the Clarksville Chamber. Space is limited so don’t delay.
All entries will be displayed downtown Clarksville from October 3rd to November 1st.
Voting on decorations will end on October 17th at 10:00 a.m.

Harvest Days Festival- Saturday October 7th

Come on out to downtown Clarksville Saturday, October 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the Harvest Days Festival. Vendors will line the streets facing storefronts and sidewalks along Virginia Avenue offering seasonal crafts, specialty items, antique collectibles and more.

In addition to vendors, the local shops and restaurants will be open and offering specials throughout downtown. There will be games and crafts for kids to participate in, farm animals to see, and ponies to ride.

Continue the day downtown with the Cruise- In starting at 5:00 p.m. and the Oktoberfest Beer Garden starting at 7:00 p.m.

Oktoberfest Beer Garden- Saturday, October 7th

The annual Oktoberfest Beer Garden will be held on Saturday evening, October 7th, instead of Friday. The Lake Country Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event with a great selection of awesome Fall Craft Beer, Music provided by 3 Day Trip, & Food. The gates open at 7:00 p.m. Please come and enjoy some great music while you sample some great beverages. The event will be held at the corner of 5th & Virginia Avenue.

Labor Day Closing

The Clarksville Town Offices will be closed for The Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 4th and will reopen on Tuesday, September 5th at 8:30 a.m.

Business Trash Pickup will be on Tuesday, September 5th.

No Change for Residential Pick Up.

Lake Life Summer Series- Sunday September 3rd

The Lake Life Summer Series: LIVE from Clarksville is brought to you by the Clarksville Economic Development Association, Mecklenburg County Tourism Office, Clarksville Lake Country Chamber of Commerce, and an amazing team of local business owners and citizens.

The final performance of the year in the 4-part concert series will be held on Sunday, September 3 at the intersection of 5th and Virginia Avenue in the heart of the downtown historic lakefront community of Clarksville, Virginia. Come and celebrate your Labor Day weekend with one of the finest Beach Bands in the county.

Sunday, September 3rd-” The EMBERS Featuring Craig Woolard” and with “JB &  The Get Down Browns”

Concert starts at 5:00 p.m. and last until 9:00 p.m.

Admission: $5.00 per person

CASH ONLY-Must have valid ID to purchase alcohol.
