Lake Life Summer Series-August 5

The Lake Life Summer Series: Live from Clarksville is brought to you by the Clarksville Economic Development Association, Mecklenburg County Tourism Office, Clarksville Lake Country Chamber of Commerce, and an amazing team of local business owners and citizens.

The third part of a 4-part concert series will be held on August 5th at the intersection of 5th and Virginia Avenue in the heart of downtown historic lakefront community of Clarksville, Virginia.

August 5th- “Feature Attraction Band” along with “The Tobacco Road Band”

Concert starts at 5:00 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m.

Admission: $ 5.00 per person

CASH ONLY- Must have valid ID to purchase alcohol

Please come early or stay late and enjoy the historic lake front downtown and visit our charming stores, restaurants, and beautiful views. All of our locally owned restaurants will be hosting specials before, during, and after each event! Food and beer will be for sale at the event! Please bring a lawn chair and have a great evening of fun.

 

Independence Day Holiday Closing

The Clarksville Town Offices will be closed for the Independence Day Holiday on Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th. We will reopen on Wednesday, July 5th at 8:30 a.m.

All Business Garbage will be picked up on Wednesday July 5th. No change to Residential Garbage pickup.

The Clarksville Ruritans would like to invite everyone to participate or come see Virginia’s only Lakeside Town’s celebration of our nation’s birthday in the annual July 4th Parade. Each parade entry must be decorated in the All-American Holiday Theme; classes to include floats, bands, golf carts, bicylces, tricylces, walking. Etc. Free lunch and live music afterwards. Budget Review and Public Hearing – Tuesday, June 13, 2017

The Clarksville Town Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 13th, 2017 at 6:30 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers located at 321 Virginia Avenue in Clarksville. This meeting will be to review the proposed 2017-2018 budget. Citizens attending shall have the right to provide oral or written comments concerning the same. Flag Retirement Ceremony-Saturday June 10 – 9 a.m.

The Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held at “Pocket Park” located at the stop light in Clarksville at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Fourth Street on Saturday June 10, 2017 at 9 a.m.  Please bring any old, worn, faded or damaged US Flags to the Town Hall for proper retirement.  The Marine Corps League will be conducting the ceremony under the direction of the retired United States Coast Guard Officer Lou Zarelli.
