YOU TO USE THE COMMUNITY DOCK
The Clarksville Municipal Dock offers 20 complimentary day-use slips, allowing you to dock, dine and shop in Clarksville, Virginia’s only lakeside town. After enjoying the 50,000 acres of Buggs Island Lake/John H. Kerr Reservoir, come visit the many one-of-a-kind eateries & shops within easy walking distance of the dock, located just south of the Highway 58 business bridge between buoy markers 19 & 20.

INVITATION FOR BID – MARINA BUILDING
The Town of Clarksville is soliciting bids from qualified firms for the construction of a new 2 story Marina building that will include marina office & marina bathrooms. Please see the below attachment for a detailed copy of the invitation to bid. A Non-Madatory PRE-BID MEETING will be held on February 1, 2024 at 10 a.m. at 321 Virginia Avenue in Clarksville, VA. Bid(s) must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “SEALED – CONSTRUCTION OF MARINA BUILDING” to the TOWN OF CLARKSVILLE, Attn: MR. JEFF JONES – TOWN MANAGER, 321 VIRGINIA AVENUE / POST OFFICE BOX 1147, CLARKSVILLE, VA. 23927 and are due no later than 2 P.M. (Eastern Time) on February 27, 2024. Any proposals received after this date and time will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. Any questions should be emailed to the Town Manager Jeff Jones at townmanager@nullclarksvilleva.org.

Attached are two scholarship opportunities from the Mecklenburg Scholarship Association for Mecklenburg County students.

Purpose of Scholarship: To help deserving Mecklenburg County students who are of good character and who are in need of financial assistance to defray the cost of tuition and mandatory fees to achieve their educational goals at a four-year university or college.

PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town of Clarksville 2023/2024 Personal Property taxes and Real Estate taxes are due by Thursday, February 1, 2024. The taxes must be paid or postmarked by Thursday, February 1, 2024, to avoid a 10% penalty plus interest. Effective March 1, 2024, a $30.00 administrative fee will be added to all delinquent accounts for each year past due. Also, a DMV Stop will be placed on delinquent personal property tax accounts that includes a $25 fee to remove the stop. If you have not received your tax statements or if you have any questions, please contact the Town Hall at (434) 374-8177.
