SUBJECT: Downtown Paving Project by VDOT
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) advised the Town today of a new paving project that will affect the Downtown area. A VDOT contractor will be milling the road and then repaving a section of Virginia Avenue starting at the intersection of Seventh Street and ending at the stop light at the intersection of Highway 15 (College Street) and Highway 58 (Virginia Avenue) in front of Hardees. The work is planned for Tuesday, August 4th and the work should be complete by the end of that week. The plans could change based on weather conditions. VDOT contractors will be flagging traffic in the work area.
